Squared Paper has added a new module to the Busby ecosystem – The Busby File Uploader. This allows workflow designers to seamlessly plug in a secure, easy to use way to transfer files from the field into a Busby system.
Fully integrated with the Busby workflow system, the Busby File Uploader can be used to acquire files either at the start or midway through workflows, including automated ingest into the Busby MAM for onward processing and distribution.
The Busby forms package can be used to pre-determine required metadata entry fields depending on user and group membership.
Clients for Windows and Mac are provided, and features such as automatic resuming of uploads in the case of a connection loss are included. Upload status and progress are shown in the client. Any errors are surfaced clearly. The client can be used to upload to multiple Busby systems without any reconfiguration of the user’s devices.
The Busby File Uploader has three modes of uploading files
- Encrypted TCP
- Encrypted accelerated UDP
- Standard HTTPS
The client will negotiate with the server to select the most approprioate upload method based on the current network conditions, such as bandwidth, latency and open ports.
The Busby File Uploader is available as a fixed price add-on to the Busby workflow system with no subscription or per use charges applied.
