Squared Paper’s Busby configuration editor has had a major update.
Busby, a powerful and flexible media integration platform allows broadcasters, service providers, system integrators, and platform developers to build small and simple or large and complex solutions to problems in the media space.
Busby is in use daily by teams of engineers, some of which are in geographically diverse locations. Because of the scales of the problems these teams are working on, the Busby configuration editor has had a major overhaul to allow multiple users to edit different parts of the system configuration simultaneously, improving productivity and reducing time to deployment for new features and workflows.
Visibility of who is editing what has been added along with the ability to force unlock (with the correct permissions) allowing for quick resolutions of issues when someone is no longer at their workstation and a change needs to be deployed.
Features have also been added to improve the visibility of publishing, and to highlight problematic configurations immediately rather than waiting until engineers are trying to deploy changes.
Furthermore, the Busby configuration tool can now be integrated with SSO systems to improve security and ease of access.
